More Brits taking trips to Lanzarote
The number of British tourists taking flights to Lanzarote villas is on the rise, if new figures released by the Council for Tourism are to be believed.
According to the institute, the total amount of passengers arriving to the Canary Island hot spot jumped by 11.32 per cent, when compared to September 2010's statistics.
The fact that 86,003 Brits arrived at Arrecife airport - which opens up plenty of opportunities to explore Lanzarote villas - is also a boost for the island's tourism.
This figure is up significantly from July and August's British passenger numbers, which were 83,056 and August 80,732 respectively.
In total this year, 689,342 people from the UK have chosen to take a trip to Lanzarote, which is an increase of 12.37 per cent from the same period last year.
There is plenty going on across the island in the next few months to further encourage families to choose the destination for their next getaway.
Between October 29th and 30th, Lanzarote's Bodega Stratvs and Camel House venues will be hosting classical music concerts, while the 6th Arte Lanzarote Bienal is also taking place until the end of the year.
