Lanzarote villas: Changes being made to Arrecife Tourist Market
People taking flights to Lanzarote villas this summer may be interested in changes taking place to one of the island's standout markets.
The Arrecife Tourist Market is held in the Canary Island's capital city each Saturday morning, though it has always being based around the location's church of San Gines.
However, the attraction will now be moving to the busy shopping street of Calle Jose Antonio, making for a bigger presence within the destination.
The market has plenty to offer to those staying in villas in Lanzarote, including fresh fruit and vegetable stalls, as well as vendors selling materials such as lace, ceramics and textiles.
Holiday makers will first see the change this Saturday (May 7th), with the extension set to be in place for the foreseeable future.
Meanwhile, those still debating on whether to pay Lanzarote a visit may be more encouraged to do so once they see it on TV, as the new series of Channel 4 reality show Celebrity 5 Go To… will be played out in the Canary Island hot spot.
