Lanzarote's tourism venues receive attendance boost
Whilst visiting villas in Lanzarote, many people look to have taken trips to the Canary Island's major tourism attractions.
This is after new statistics reported by the Lanzarote Guidebook revealed that the number of tourists seeking out the destination's main venues has risen once again.
In total, 240,120 admissions were made at the Canary Island hotspot's Centres of Art, Culture and Tourism throughout September.
This figure has also helped the year-to-date attendance statistic increase to 2,047,053 – up 8.93 per cent compared to the same period in 2010.
People taking up stays in Lanzarote villas may feel most inclined to have a day out at the Timanfaya National Park, which continues to be the destination's most popular attraction.
The Jameos del Aqua and the Cuevas de los Verdes have also experienced positive attendance figures in 2011.
Families are sure to have plenty of fun if they make a trip to Arrecife during their getaway to Lanzarote, with the city housing both the Castillo de San Jose and Castillo de San Gabriel fortresses.
