Travellers whose main priority is to relax in the sun this year have been informed that they will find what they are looking for on a Lanzarote holiday.
Flight search engine Skyscanner pointed out that the island enjoys a "clement year-round climate" owing to its location about 70 miles off the western coast of Africa.
The destination's enjoyable conditions have been likened to an eternal spring, the company revealed.
People who opt for a Lanzarote villa holiday this year can also enjoy some of the island's natural features, including black sand beaches - a result of its volcanic activity - and warm seas.
Lanzarote was also recommended recently by the Telegraph, which said that it is the "pick of the Canaries".
Visitors were encouraged to sample some local food and drink, with popular local options including grilled sole, wine from La Geria and soups infused with garlic, onions, chilli peppers and tomatoes.
Holiday makers can book villas in Playa Blanca, Puerto Calero and several other popular destinations across the island.
