Lanzarote holidays offer bargains aplenty

Those hoping to pick up some top holiday souvenirs should spend some time browsing the stalls at the local markets on their Lanzarote villa holiday.

According to Lanzarotetourist.com, there are two main markets on the island offering bargains on clothing, jewellery and other items.

The first is in Teguise in the north of Lanzarote and is held every Sunday and features hundreds of stalls selling a variety of goods.

Entertainers are also on hand to keep the crowds amused while they shop, while local bars provide refreshments throughout the day, offering a much-needed break from the haggling.

On Wednesdays, Playa Blanca in the south hosts a market at Marina Rubicon, so those renting Lanzarote villas in the resort could spend a few hours there in the morning.

"The market, once finished, gives you the chance to walk around Marina Rubicon to visit some of the nice bars and restaurants in the harbour," Lanzarotetourist.com points out.

Though Playa Blanca is in the south and Teguise in the north, the latter could be reached easily by car.

Playa Blanca has its own sandy beach which is popular with tourists, while the nature reserve of Papagayo is close by, offering some of the best beaches on the island.
