Lanzarote holidays 'ideal for families'

Families looking for a fun and relaxing getaway this year have been encouraged to consider a Lanzarote holiday.

Press and Journal writer Bess Manson recently visited the island with her nine-month-old baby and revealed that she enjoyed "warm days, cool nights" and a welcome from "friendly folks".

Ms Manson stayed in Playa Blanca, a location on the south-west coast that is highly popular among people taking Lanzarote holidays.

Visitors who choose this destination can enjoy walks along the coast to enjoy natural sights including the beaches and volcanic mountains that surround the town.

The Press and Journal writer revealed that there is also a twice-weekly market held near the seafront, where browsers can pick up a range of gifts and souvenirs by which to remember their Lanzarote villa holiday.

Visitors also have the option to explore more of the island by arranging a trip to the Timanfaya National Park or seeing artworks by the famous artist Cesar Manrique.

Ms Manson pointed out that holiday makers can take a boat trip to Fuerteventura, another popular hotspot in the Canary Islands.
