Lanzarote holiday 'just right for families'

Families may be wise to choose Lanzarote as their next holiday destination, following words of praise from one mother.

Rosie Gilbert, author of a piece on the Made for Mums site, says the Canary island offered just about all she could have wished for.

She notes the location boasts a combination of the relaxation she and her husband craved, while also having plenty for their two "boisterous" sons to get stuck into.

The writer goes on to suggest her highlight of the holiday was hiring bicycles and going for a ride along the bay of Playa Blanca, stopping every so often on the unspoilt white beaches to paddle.

A holiday in Lanzarote also delivered on food, with Ms Gilbert labeling the cuisine served up "lovely" and plentiful.

Earlier this month, an article by TNT magazine identified the island as a great place to enjoy fine wine, explaining its local produce is particularly high in quality.
