Lanzarote holiday 'is a surfer's dream'

Keen surfers should consider Lanzarote as a potential holiday destination this winter, if the experience of one of their peers is anything to go by.

Eric Rebiere, detailing his time hitting the waves off the coast of the Spanish island for Global Surf News, says he enjoyed a "crazy tow session" there just last week.

He recalls how he started to surf in an entirely new area not touched by those with a board before and considered naming it after his daughter.

Mr Rebiere is also confident there are plenty of other spots to be sourced that will produce ideal conditions for surfers, stating: "It will provide many other sessions. Tow is just starting here."

Keen water sports enthusiasts may see the surfer's words as all the assurance they need to book a holiday in Lanzarote.

Sarah Turner, writing for the Daily Mirror, recently named the island as one of the top travel spots of the moment.
