Lanzarote holiday guide attracting more online visitors

A website that provides a range of information and guides for people planning Lanzarote holidays has seen a substantial increase in visitor numbers this year.

The Lanzarote Guidebook site reported a near 50 per cent rise in its audience during the first six months of 2010 compared to the same period in 2009.

An average of 98,865 people have used the online resource each month to help research and plan Lanzarote holidays, equating to more than 592,000 over the first half of the year.

Lanzarote Guidebook publisher Nick Ball said the site has boosted its visitor numbers by adding "fresh, relevant content" and improving its search engine rankings.

Mr Ball also revealed that some 585,847 people took Lanzarote holidays between January and May this year, an increase from the 581,136 travellers who visited in the first five months of 2009.

Holiday makers planning to visit the island this year can book a villa in Playa Blanca, Puerto del Carmen or Puerto Calero for easy access to beaches, coastal towns, restaurants and other facilities.
