Jet2 introduces new flights to Lanzarote villas
Brits already looking ahead to getaways in 2012 may want to make note of a new flight route taking people from Glasgow airport to Lanzarote villas.
Leisure airline Jet2 will be offering the option to holiday makers from next March, which will carry tourists to the popular Canary Island hot spot on a weekly basis.
The carrier has also revealed new paths to Barcelona, Malaga, Ibiza and Murcia through its 2012 offerings.
All of these announcements were marked with the creation of the world's first haggis paella, courtesy of a collaboration between Jet2 and Glasgow eatery Barca.
Ian Doubtfire, managing director of Jet2.com, commented on the new flights by saying: "This demonstrates how committed we are to growing the range of great value destinations we offer to customers across Glasgow and the west of Scotland."
With an average temperature of 29 degrees C in August, the volcanic-inspired Atlantida Tunnel to seek out and the sun-kissed beaches of Playa Blanca and Papagayo for relaxing, there are plenty of reasons for Brits to book up villas in Lanzarote.
