Jet2.com brings new flight path to Lanzarote villas in 2012
Brits will have even more opportunities to explore sights and venues around Lanzarote villas in 2012, thanks to the introduction of new routes to the Canary Island from Jet2.
The low cost airline company has revealed that it is to launch a fresh flight path from Glasgow airport to Lanzarote from next year.
Such a move will mean that Jet2.com aircraft will fly to the Canary Island hot spot from five UK travel hubs from the new year, the others being Leeds Bradford, Manchester, East Midlands and Newcastle.
Steve Heapy, director of the airline, announced the new route whilst at the Aeronautic Museum, which can be explored at Lanzarote's airport.
The number of seats on offer to passengers flying to villas in Lanzarote courtesy of Jet2.com will jump from 80,000 this year to 100,000 in 2012.
Recently, information released by Spanish airport authority AENA revealed that May 2011 saw foreign tourists visiting Lanzarote rise by 13.99 per cent, when compared to the same month in 2010.
