Head to Lanzarote villas to see live classical music performances

Couples who enjoy a nice relaxing night at the theatre should look to head to villas in Lanzarote this summer.

That is because the Canary Island hot spot will be host to a number of classical music performances between now and the start of September.

Kicking off procedures this Saturday (July 23rd) will be a concert in the resort of Cueva de los Verdes by opera singer Eric Mauricio Torres.

Then in August, music fans will be able to head to a thrilling open air jazz performance being put on by Antonio Auyanet and Mario Rivero in Jameos del Agua.

During the same month, people staying in Lanzarote can enjoy the sounds of New Music, via a concert held at the Monumento al Campesino.

Bringing the curtain down on the season will be the Classic and Romantic event, which sees bassoon player Salva Sanchis and pianist Jose Maria Curbelo entertaining those in Cueva de los Verdes.

These performances could see more people flocking to Lanzarote, a destination which has also seen tourist figures jump by 20.7 per cent in June 2011 when compared to the same month last year.
