Get into jazz on a Lanzarote villa holiday
Music fans will have the opportunity to enjoy some live jazz during a Lanzarote villa holiday this summer.
The Canary Islands Jazz Festival will take place at various venues across the archipelago between July 9th and 18th.
People enjoying Lanzarote villa holidays will be able to visit Teguise on July 9th to see a show by the Miguel Zenon Quartet.
Sharrie Williams and the Wiseguys will then take to the stage and entertain the crowds at the Casco Historico venue.
The Canary Islands Jazz Festival was founded in 1992 and was initially confined to Gran Canaria.
It expanded considerably over the following years, with shows being arranged on the islands of Lanzarote, Tenerife, La Palma and Fuerteventura.
Recently, the festival programme has included acts such as the James Taylor Quartet, Madeleine Peyroux, Kyle Eastwood and David Sanborn.
Other shows set to take place during the 2010 edition include a concert by Dee Dee Bridgewater at Gran Canaria's Teatro Cuyas on July 13th and a show by Angelique Kidjo at Plaza Europa in Tenerife on July 14th.
