Families heading to Lanzarote villas in the weeks ahead have been told of an exciting winter attraction which is returning to Santa Cruz.
The popular Canary Island destination is setting up a Christmas ice rink so that holiday makers can indulge in even more festive cheer this month.
However, people who take annual trips to Lanzarote should make note that the attraction will be relocated to a new part of Santa Cruz.
Plaza de Europa is the place to find the ice rink this winter, after last year's venue of Plaza de Espana was ruled out due to significant technical and logistic issues.
A spokesperson at Lanzarote resort's council commented: "It was a difficult decision to take because everyone, particularly city traders, had their ideas on where the rink should go but we think we have made the correct call."
Families planning a visit to Playa Blanca while in villas in Lanzarote may also be interested to hear that Yaiza mayoress, Gladys Acuna, has recently tabled proposals to enhance the historic fortress of Castillo Las Coloradas.
