Book a Lanzarote holiday and head to the Aloe Vera House

Aloe vera is grown across the Canary Islands, but those booking Lanzarote holidays can find out more about its healing properties.

The Aloe Vera House in Arrieta is a special museum dedicated to the benefits of the plant, its history and its cultivation.

Visitors will learn how the plant is grown, how its restorative juices are extracted and how they are used in numerous cosmetics and medicines.

Tourists can purchase their own aloe vera plant or buy beauty products containing its extracts, which could make excellent souvenirs.

The museum is open from Monday to Saturday, so those booking Lanzarote holidays will have plenty of time to visit during their break on the island.

Arrieta is located towards the north of Lanzarote, but those renting their own private villas in Costa Teguise will be able to drive up the coast in no time.

Costa Teguise is one of the main tourist resorts in the island, home to four beaches and several family attractions, including a water park.

Holiday makers will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops which stay open late into the evening.
