Winter tourism is promoted in Ibiza
Ibiza is promoting its natural beauty, outdoor activities and gastronomy showing that it is not just a destination to visit in the summer.
Tourism minister, Pepa Mari Ribas, said the government was keen to promote the lesser-known attractions on the island to encourage more holidaymakers to take a trip.
Mr Ribas said that the winter climate made the island popular with families and older people whilst activities such as cycling could encourage young people to visit, according to travelweekly.co.uk.
Holidaymakers visiting Ibiza and looking to experience the culture of the island should visit the Cathedral Museum.
Located in Ibiza, the museum contains important religious objects related to the liturgy that are displayed in the vestry and other rooms around the Cathedral.
A 14th century gold-plated silver monstrance depicting a Gothic-style tower is one of the items on show.
