Visit Formentera on an Ibiza villa holiday
In an interview with the Times, television and radio presenter Emma Forbes said she did just this during her own Ibiza villa holiday.
She said tourists can visit the beautiful island of Formentera on a day boat and enjoy a picnic on the beach.
"You can walk for miles along beautiful beaches, up to your knees in purest-blue sea - it's the Maldives without the 17-hour flight," she enthused.
As for Ibiza itself, the 44-year-old said the island has a much quieter side than its reputation as a top party destination suggests and insisted she would recommend it to anyone.
Families hoping to visit Formentera during their Ibiza villa holiday could stay in Santa Eulalia and catch the ferry from Ibiza Town, which is just a short drive along the coast.
Santa Eulalia itself is full of Spanish charm and is thought to be home to some of the best restaurants on the island.
