Puig de Missa Marathon ready to go

Taking place on Sunday January 13th, the race will see over 500 runners take on the course which finishes at Puig de Missa.

Beginning at Paseo Maritimo at midday, the run ends up in the church square and covers a 2,200-metre course.

Four categories will compete in the event with children, juniors, seniors, and veterans all welcome in the race.

The race takes the runners to Puig de Missa, an architectural haven that includes a church, a cemetery, the Barrau Museum, the traditional ethnography museum and other buildings perched around the area.

Small children will also get to compete in a 700-metre fun run before the main event.

Holiday makers visiting Ibiza will be able to enjoy the surroundings of Puig de Missa all year round and the church, which was built in the 16th century, is one of the most popular places to visit as well as being a centre piece of the island's historical defences.
