Nature at its best in Ibiza
One such area is Ses Feixes which is an important wetlands area containing some of island's best terrain.
Fresh and salt waters allow a diverse array of flora and fauna in the area that was created by the Arabs who built an irrigation system.
The system allowed the area to be famous for its agricultural products and keeps the area in good condition today.
Small plots of land, named feixes, were formed by the channels of the irrigation system and these were connected by underground openings.
The underground channels could be shut off from water, effectively working as flood gates.
Huge white stone frames and wooden doors mark the entrance to the complex which will delight holiday makers looking to gain an understanding into the culture of the island.
