Ibiza's long-established Jazz Festival, going strong after 19 years, is set to return to the island this summer.
Traditionally held in July, Jazz Ibiza 07 is this year moving to late summer, taking place from September 6th to 9th. The night-time concerts are held as always at the 16th century Santa Llucia bastion in the historical district of Ibiza Town.
The reasonably priced, open air concerts will be organised by the local council for the first time this year, having been administrated from Madrid for many years, and aim to attract locals and tourists alike.
The change in dates was partly made to take advantage of the balmy late summer weather, as well as to avoid clashing with other jazz festivals on the continent.
Jazz Ibiza has attracted a host of a-list performers over the years, including Arturo Sandoval, Tony Williams, Elvin Jones, McCoy Tyner, Branford Marsalis and Roy Hargrove.
Concerts are held at 10pm for the three nights.
