James Blunt on Ibiza
British troubadour and Ibiza resident James Blunt has revealed how the island is proving an inspiration to his music.
Blunt told Billboard that his residence on the island was "secluded", and provided "a real moment to stop and have a look around, to realise what had gone on in my life and [find] a sense of calm".
Journalists were given a sneak preview of the new record, entitled All The Lost Souls at Blunt's Ibiza villa last month at a special sunset concert, where it was revealed that the lyrics to lead-off single 1973 reference his stay on the island.
Other subjects of the album include mortality, dancing and the ins and outs of fame, according to the singer.
Ibiza is a long-established haunt of rock royalty, with the Gallagher brothers and Jade Jagger all owning villas on the island.
All The Lost Souls is scheduled to hit record shops in September.
