Ibizan government opens first tourists' website
The first official website from local authorities on the island designed specifically for tourists has gone online.
Named, Ibiza.travel, the site provides details on the various cultural and sporting events which are held on the island, such as the summer's beach volleyball tournaments.
Local landmarks and geographical features, from the spectacular necropolis in Ibiza Town's ancient Dalt Vila district to the island's picturesque and tranquil interior - perfect for walking holidays - are also featured on the site.
Reflecting the eclectic mix of travellers from both the mainland and further afield who visit the island, the website is available in English, Spanish and the local Catalan.
The website confirms Ibiza's place as one of the premier destinations for holidaymakers looking to relax in a villa and enjoy the beautiful island atmosphere offered by this Mediterranean destination.
