Ibiza's traditional oil
A number of oil mills cover the island along with acres of olive groves and almond trees that demonstrate the importance of the product.
Olive oil is important in the Mediterranean and a high local demand led to the huge number of olive trees in Ibiza.
Nowadays the extra virgin olive oil is still of the highest quality and usually made out of local olives - the empletre, the arbequina and the picual.
The empletre and arbequina produce fruity oils and keep their freshness for a long time while the picual olives produce oils with a stronger flavour.
Apart from indulging in the delicious oils of the island, a holiday to Ibiza provides visitors with a great chance to unwind and relax in the villa or on a beach.
For more active visitors bike rides can be taken across the island with varying routes set-up to guide holiday makers on their way.
