Facelift for Ibiza Airport
In 2008 the islands, including Ibiza, will receive about 300 million euros from the Spanish government.
Ibiza should receive about 31 million euros, an increase of 20 million euros from last year's amount.
According to The Ibiza Sun, and a large sum of this cash will be spent on renovating Ibiza Airport, 12 million euros will be spent on improving the terminal and an extra two million euros building an emergency runway.
The work is part of a plan to remodel the airport over the next eight years.
All of this is good news for holidaymakers hoping to take a trip to the island, and some may want to visit Cala Vadella.
Cala Vadella is a small fishing village on the west coast of Ibiza, further down from San Antonio.
Shallow waters, wide sandy bays and good shelter make the destination very popular amongst families looking for a quiet, relaxing break and the hills around the bay are adorned with pine trees and excellent for walking.
