Adventurous family holiday makers seeking out a quiet beach on Ibiza might be interested in the seaside at Es Cubells.
Situated in a natural bay to the south west of the island, the three pebbly beaches feature excellent bathing.
The village of Es Cubells itself is comparatively cut off from the mainstream tourist trade, owing to the fact that it is quite hard to reach through the island's public transport system.
Visitors are advised to travel to the beach by hire car or bicycle, as the walk from the nearest bus station will be too far for many.
Other attractions in the area include the acclaimed 'Ses Boques' beach bar, which features a slab of rock forming a natural jetty from the front of the restaurant to the sea.
The expansive villas near Es Cubells are well known for being a retreat for rock stars, with Oasis' Noel Gallagher buying a property from prog rocker Mike Oldfield, featuring a guitar-shaped swimming pool, in 1999.
