Enjoy great food and wine on an Ibiza villa holiday
In an article for the Times, Jose Ramon Serra, the chief of police in San Antonio, has offered some tips for food lovers visiting the island.
His advice could come in handy for those looking for something a little more authentic than the usual tourist hotspots.
He said the Can Cosmi bar and restaurant in Santa Agnes de Corona on the outskirts of San Antonio attracts locals from around the neighbourhood thanks to its speciality - Spanish tortilla with potatoes and peppers.
Can Pilot in the village of San Rafael is also a great place to sample traditional Spanish food, Mr Serra added.
He said the beef, which diners cook themselves in a charcoal grill, is "sensational" and the restaurant is very rustic in character.
Finally, he recommended a tour of an Ibizan wine cellar where visitors can taste and buy the local produce.
Holiday makers eager to enjoy the flavours of Ibiza could rent a villa in the Bogamari resort, which overlooks the bay of San Antonio and is within easy reach of some beautiful beaches.
