Celebrate Ascension Day on an Ibiza villa holiday
The event is celebrated by Christians and marks 40 days since Christ last appeared on earth after his resurrection and ascension to Heaven and it could be a great thing to see.
According to Ibiza Spotlight, it could be an early start for holiday makers because the English Speaking Church of Ibiza and Formentera, has organised a "rather special ceremony" on that day.
The Ascension Day Sunrise Service takes place on May 21st at 06.30 local time on Ibiza's highest mountain Sa Talaia, which overlooks the village of San Jose.
"It should be a memorable occasion with spectacular views," the site says.
Holiday makers renting a villa in the quaint village of San Augustin are ideally located between San Jose and San Antonio to take advantage of the sights, sounds and sunrise services that Ibiza has to offer.
