Barrau Museum: Ibiza
The island, not usually known for its cultural attractions, is now able to provide holidaymakers with museums and art that will certainly satisfy the most curious of travellers.
The Barrau Museum, located in Santa Eularia des Riu, is one of these places.
Dedicated to the works of Laurea Barrau I Bunol, the museum pays homage to the contemporary works of the Catalan-born artist.
Born on December 27th 1863, the artist will provide holidaymakers with a taste of art from Ibiza, with much of the works relating to the environment in which he spent so much time.
The artist arrived in Ibiza in 1912 and lived and worked there for over 20 years, inspired by his surrounding environment.
He died in Santa Eulaira des Riu and the museum houses much of his work.
