Families booking up villas in Florida over the summer months have a variety of exciting events to head along to in order to enhance their stay in the Sunshine State.
The destination's city of Orlando is hosting many entertaining attractions between May and June this year, which should appeal to parents and kids alike.
Kicking off the proceedings will be the Cinco De Mayo festival, which sees the resort's Universal Studios theme park transformed in order to celebrate the traditional Mexican holiday.
The annual event marks the anniversary of the 1862 Battle Of Puebla, where an ill-equipped Mexican army overcame the threat of a strong French army.
Performances by Latin music bands and eating contests involving the traditional Mexican dish of tortillas are among the attractions which honour this holiday.
Orlando is once again put in the spotlight in June, when the Florida Juneteenth Music Festival takes place.
Events based around jazz and gospel music will occur across the Sunshine State's picturesque city, as will a literary review performance and an entertaining community bash.
