Why not celebrate a locomotion landmark when in Florida villas?
Holiday makers who are hoping to experience some history when staying in Florida villas should visit an exhibition to mark a milestone in the locomotive industry.
Next January marks the 100th anniversary of the first Oversea Railway train to leave from the Sunshine State to journey through the Florida Keys to Key West.
To honour this momentous occasion, the Key West Museum of Art & History at the Custom House is showcasing the Flagler's Speedway to Sunshine exhibition.
Some of the sights which can be seen by those occupying villas in Florida at the attraction include a recreated Florida East Coast carriage and a scale replica of the Seven Mile Bridge.
A movie to showcase the story of visionary oil millionaire Henry Flagler – who originally brought up the concept – and a film of a journey from the Middle Keys to Key West will also be shown.
While at Florida's Key West destination, tourists could also take in the Tropic Cinema, which is South Florida's only nonprofit, independent film multiplex.
