Walt Disney World Resort introduces interactive lines

Mums and dads visiting Florida villas no longer need to put up with bored children while they wait in long lines at Walt Disney World Resort.

A new scheme is being put in place which will make sure that queuing at the popular attraction is no longer as daunting.

Known as interactive queues, the concept is being introduced to four rides at Walt Disney World Resort – Space Mountain, Epcot's Soarin', The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and The Haunted Mansion.

Families waiting in a long line to access each attraction can pass away the minutes playing on video game consoles or have fun with some motion-sensor technology.

Jim MacPhee, senior vice president of Walt Disney World Parks, commented: "We all know in our life there's nothing worse than standing and waiting. We really want to bring a dimension of interactivity and engagement to the story so that perceived wait time is far less than what it might be."

Walt Disney World Resort is also home to such fun-filled venues as Disney's Hollywood Studios and the Magic Kingdom, which offer treats for both parents and kids.
