Variety of fun-filled events taking place around Florida villas

Holiday makers who have decided to seek a trip to villas in Florida in the months ahead have plenty of attractions to visit during their stay.

The Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau has picked up some of the highlight events which should be sought out while enjoying a trip to the Sunshine State.

Art lovers will have plenty of fun if they head along to the 24th Annual Las Olas Art Fair, which takes place between January 7th and 8th and then again from March 3rd until 4th.

Pottery, crafted jewellery and sculptures are among the eye-catching items which will be on display throughout the event, all of which can be snapped up by tourists.

While in Florida villas in March, holiday makers may also want to check out the Florida Renaissance Festival, which celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2012.

Families can take a step back in time to the 16th century and witness entertaining sword fighting ceremonies and Celtic music performances.

Furthermore, those taking last minute flights to Florida still have the chance to get into the festive spirit with the Light Up Lauderdale, which sees Greater Fort Lauderdale awash with Christmas illumination until January 14th.
