Use live webcam to check out Florida holiday
People can find out what they have to look forward to before they even book their holiday in Florida, thanks to technology installed in the state.
Tourism chiefs have overseen the arrival of a series of webcams and time-stamped photographs from a variety of the area's top attractions.
These allow potential holiday makers to assess what Florida has to offer before they commit to visiting.
Will Seccombe, chief marketing officer at VISIT FLORIDA, urges people to "just see for yourself", adding it is possible to see "what the beaches look like right now, live webcam, beach reports, fishing report[s], up-to-the minute information that should allay any fears that people may have".
Travellers could also use the technology, found at a website called Florida Live, to identify the perfect spot in which to book a Florida villa.
In a recent poll of readers, Conde Nast Traveller magazine found the USA to be the eighth-most popular holiday destination.
