Universal Studios bids farewell to Jaws ride
Holiday makers taking trips to Universal Studios while enjoying a getaway in Florida villas have been told of changes that are coming to the well-loved resort.
One of the most significant alterations at the Sunshine State's popular theme park is the fact that the Jaws attraction has now been closed.
Following a stint lasting more than two decades, the shark-themed ride shut its doors for the final time on Monday (January 2nd).
Themeparkinsider.com claims that the closing of the Jaws attraction will make way for a new Harry Potter-themed ride.
Set to be based around the book-turned-movie series' vast Gringott's Bank, the attraction is to accompany Universal Studios' highly popular Islands of Adventure.
Families were first entertained by the sights and sounds of Universal Studios in 1990, with parents and kids able to take in such attractions as the futuristic Terminator 2: 3D adventure, the spooky Revenge of the Mummy ride and the fun-filled Shrek 4D experience.
