Universal Studios 'a top Florida holiday theme park'

Universal Studios in Florida has been named one of the best theme parks outside of the UK for family fun this spring.

In an article for the Times newspaper, travel journalist Dominic Wells said the attraction is "the one to book your plane tickets for".

He said the new Harry Potter area looks particularly impressive, costing $200 million (£131 million) and taking three years to complete.

It is due to open on June 18th and visitors will be taken on a spellbinding broomstick ride through Hogwart's Castle where they will meet Harry and his pals.

The art directors involved in the Harry Potter movies worked on the design of this theme park within a theme park, so fans of the series will be in for a real treat.

While children enjoy the rides, adults will be able to relax and enjoy a drink in the Hog's Head pub.

Other attractions at Universal Studios include the Simpsons Ride, the Revenge of the Mummy, Shrek 4-D and Men in Black Alien Attack.

Families renting Orlando villas in Calabay Parc will be within a 25-minute drive of all the main Florida attractions, including Universal Studios.
