Universal Florida 'to expand Harry Potter attraction'
Families planning to book Florida villa holidays may be pleased to hear new Harry Potter-themed attractions are to be added at Universal Orlando.
The Wizarding World section of the theme park is set to be expanding, but no details have been given of the new rides that will be introduced, the Daily Mail reports.
Having opened in June 2010, the current attraction is based at Universal's Islands of Adventure and includes three rollercoasters.
The Dragon Challenge, Flight of the Hippogriff and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey have proven successful, with attendance at the theme park understood to have increased 20 per cent in 2010.
In the first half of 2011, visits to Universal were up 50 per cent on the same period the previous year to nearly 6.4 million.
Universal Studios Florida opened in 1990 and continued the success of the company's original theme park in Hollywood, California.
