Travel back in time on a Florida holiday

Families planning Florida villa holidays in Orlando can experience some medieval drama at an exciting show in Kissimmee.

The Medieval Times dinner and tournament takes place each evening within a specially-constructed castle.

Visitors are invited to enjoy a four-course medieval feast and watch an authentic jousting tournament which pits brave knights on horseback against one another.

There will also be some spectacular displays of equestrian skill and medieval pageantry, all enhanced using Hollywood-style special effects.

After the show, guests can enjoy a drink in the bar or head to the medieval torture museum and the Hall of Arms to view some interesting artefacts.

The attraction is based in the city of Kissimmee, which is just north of Aviana where families can rent their own Orlando villas.

Within Kissimmee itself, families can enjoy peaceful relaxation and small town charm, with beautiful lakes, plenty of wildlife and numerous walking, cycling and horse riding trails.

In Aviana, the villas are set amongst tropical palm trees and wetlands, although the major Orlando theme parks can be reached easily by car.

Disney World is just 12 miles away, while Universal Studios, Sea World and the Epcot centre are also close by.
