Transformers 3D ride coming to Universal Orlando?

Families booking stays in villas in Florida could soon be able to seek out a new ride at the popular Universal Orlando theme park.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, plans are being put in place to introduce a Transformers 3D attraction to the venue.

Families will be able to get up close and personal with Steven Spielberg's monstrous titans if the ride is erected, with a similar version having been shown off at last month's Comic Con exhibition.

Talking about the potential for the attraction, Mr Spielberg said: "I know everybody's going to Harry Potter right now. But we think Transformers is going to be pretty amazing. We've been working on that for about three years now."

Although he added that he cannot reveal an exact date of launch for the ride at Universal Orlando, the well-known movie director noted that "it should be coming there soon".

The popular theme park is also home to Universal's Islands of Adventure and the Wet 'n' Wild Waterpark, which both offer thrill-seeking rides for people booking Florida villas to enjoy.
