Tourists urged to explore wildlife on holiday in Florida

British families on holiday in Florida should take a day or two out of their break to discover some of the state's rich supply of wildlife.

For example, visitors to Polk County can find themselves in a position to view the US's famous alligator population at close quarters.

Other species on offer in the region include the iconic bobcat, which may be found in many of the 30 state and local parks on offer.

With a landscape that varies from woodlands to waterways and marshes, the Sunshine State is arguably the perfect spot to locate some intriguing creatures.

The Central Florida Visitors and Convention Bureau recommends heading out at dusk or dawn to stand the best chance of witnessing the greatest animals.

According to the Daily Mail, a holiday in Florida is ideal for those who would like to be sure of warm weather – even in the midst of winter – when they go away.
