Tourists could book Florida villas ahead of painting festival
A special painting festival is likely to lure tourists from around the world to Florida next month, many of whom may wish to stay in one of the state's finest villas.
The Palm Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau announced the Lake Worth Street Painting Festival is due to kick off on February 26th and will run for two days.
It brings the downtown streets of Lake Worth to life with the pavement used as a canvas by some 400 artists.
The result is the streets of the area are transformed into a temporary display of modern and original art, with many of the designs widely considered to be masterpieces.
In addition to the painting, visitors will be treated to a number of live music performances and organisers have also put on children's activities.
Kenneth Morgan, a spokesman for Visit Florida, recently suggested the Sunshine State's warm weather recently has attracted a large number of groundhogs to the region.
