Grab yourself a late deal >Those staying in Florida villas urged 'check out Siesta Beach'
Reaction has been given to Siesta Beach being named as the best coastline throughout the US, those taking flights to Florida villas may be interested to here.
The 21st annual Top Ten Beach List, which was compiled by coastal expert Dr Stephen P Leatherman – 'Dr Beach' - director of Florida International University's Laboratory for Coastal Research, placed the beach on top of the pile.
Erin Duggan, communications director at the Sarasota Convention & Visitors Bureau, believes the accolade is helping to make the west coast of the Sunshine State more appealing for a holiday.
She explained: "Siesta Key, a barrier island on the west coast of Florida that sits in Sarasota County, is a fantastic beach destination. We know this will bring a positive impact to this area."
Ms Duggan went on to say that the impact that Siesta Beach topping Dr Beach's chart is actually already being seen, with Brits seeking out villas in Florida also possibly being tempted to the location too.
