Take in Caribbean music on a Florida holiday
Florida holiday makers may want to time their break to coincide with the Caribbean Music Festival in Bonita Springs this October.
The event will take place on October 16th and 17th at Riverside Park Bandshell and will see two Grammy Award winners perform, the News-Press reports.
Inner Circle - a Jamaican roots-reggae band - will headline on the Saturday, while Nestor Torres will headline on the Sunday with his Latin jazz ensemble.
Other performers will include musicians and bands from around the world and a variety of Caribbean food and drink will also be on offer during the festival.
The event is south-west Florida's first ever celebration of Caribbean music.
Holiday makers visiting the region can stay in villas in Naples, Sanibel and Fort Myers along the Gulf Coast.
All of these areas are within easy reach of Bonita Springs, as well as various other attractions in Florida - particularly the Everglades National Park.
The park is the biggest subtropical wilderness in the US and is also a UNESCO World Heritage site and international biosphere reserve.
