Take Florida holidays 'to experience authentic America'

Families have a raft of traditional Americana attractions to seek out while they are enjoying a holiday in Florida villas.

Jo Eckersley, UK public relations for Central Florida Visitors and Convention Bureau, pointed out that the Sunshine State has "some very authentic American experiences" which are well worth a visit.

She explained that these range from an array of small downtown communities to a collection of art galleries and museums.

"There's even an authentic courthouse from [the past] in one of the museums where children can actually be put in the dock," Ms Eckersley added.

The Silver Moon Drive-In is another popular attraction, which is set up around a 1940s theme and boasts a rodeo which can seat in excess of 2,000 guests at a time.

Ms Eckersley was also keen to recommend a trip to central Florida, as the area is home to an array of venues which differ from the more popular attractions around the state.

The advice comes soon after the Belfast Telegraph reported that the Sunshine State is the "ultimate family destination" which packs in "hundreds" of fun-filled activities to enjoy.
