During the event, more than 100 boats will be illuminated in an array of dazzling designs and paraded around the resort's Intracoastal Waterway.

For those hoping to seek out some traditional US sports action during their stay in Florida villas, tickets to the Orange Bowl should be considered.

The top college American football teams in Miami will descend on the Dolphin Stadium in order to showcase their skills for the well-regarded New Year occasion.

Tourists taking holidays to Florida in January can also take part in a range of sporting and social events which annually occur in Miami during the Orange Bowl.
