See some Super Boat action on a Gulf Coast villa holiday

Sports fans planning Gulf Coast holidays this summer might be interested in paying a visit to Sarasota to enjoy some high-octane entertainment.

The 26th annual Suncoast Super Boat Grand Prix Festival will come to the coastal city from July 2nd to 4th.

A popular fixture on the annual Super Boat racing calendar, the event allows spectators to enjoy high-speed contests for free from the safety of the shore.

As well as watching the boat races, people staying in Gulf Coast villas will be able to enjoy various other activities and shows that are arranged during the festival, including parades in Sarasota's Centennial Park.

The venue will host the prize-giving ceremony on July 4th, which will be followed by a spectacular fireworks display in the bay at 21:00 local time.

Events will be held in various locations in the US during this year's Super Boat series, including Clearwater and Key West in Florida in the autumn.

People planning Gulf Coast villa holidays this year might be interested in taking to the water themselves to go fishing or try out some watersports.
