See some African art on an Orlando villa holiday

Travellers planning to visit local cultural venues as well as the famous theme parks during an Orlando villa holiday this year might be interested in seeing an exhibition of African textiles.

A show featuring a number of pieces from the Norma Canelas and William D Roth collection of African art is currently open at the Orlando Museum of Art and will run until the end of the year.

The display brings together 45 examples of cloth and beadwork that hail from different regions across the African continent.

People planning a visit to the museum during an Orlando villa break can look out for highlights including a Zulu wedding cape and decorated animal skins created by the San people of South Africa.

The exhibition also features a series of ornate crowns and headdresses associated with the Yoruba community of Nigeria.

Travellers staying in Orlando villas during a Florida holiday this summer should head to North Mills Avenue to visit the city's Museum of Art, which hosts a range of shows and events throughout the year.
