The city of Orlando with its nearby attractions has been named the top hotspot for American citizens taking a holiday this year.
According to the Travel Trends Survey by Travel Leaders, Orlando has beaten Las Vegas to take the number one spot in a list of great holiday destinations.
It is the first time the popular resort has been at number one since the list was first compiled in 2003.
"Orlando landing at number one shows the remarkable resiliency strength in family-oriented destinations," said Roger Block, president of the Travel Leaders Franchise Group
While the survey is based on American tourists, there is no reason why Orlando can't be a holiday hotspot for British families this year too.
It boasts numerous family attractions, such as Disney World, Sea World and Universal Studios, as well as arts, culture and great restaurants.
It's also great for shopping, with several top malls and premium outlets where holiday makers can pick up souvenirs and bag some top bargains.
Those renting Orlando villas in the Disney area will be in an ideal location to visit the major theme parks, although they can also head into the city of Orlando itself by car.
