Rent a Gulf Coast villa and take a safari in the Everglades
Holiday makers enjoying a Gulf Coast holiday in a Naples villa are well placed to experience Florida's world-famous Everglades.
While staying near to the city, visitors will be able to embark upon a bus tour of the Florida swampland with Everglades Excursions starting at the Big Cypress State Preserve.
From there, they will be taken by airboat through the maze of 10,000 islands and "walking trees" called mangroves that make up a large part of the Everglades.
"Enjoy and delight in the natural world of wonders of the Everglades as you look for alligators, dolphins, manatees, bears and birds in their natural habitat," says the company.
"Many bird species make their home in the Everglades and you may encounter blue heron, American egret, bald eagle and osprey."
The tour will also head through Everglades City, teaching visitors about the history of the surrounding area.
The sub-tropical wetlands that make up the Everglades stretch right across the southern part of Florida.
