Rent a Gulf Coast villa and enjoy an angler's paradise

With its barrier island coastline, the Gulf Coast is a paradise for anglers, according to the region's official tourism portal.

The website states that there are numerous opportunities for fishing along the Gulf Coast, especially between Naples and Marco Island.

Inland areas, and the Everglades in particular, are also abundant with sea life.

"Whether you are dedicated to stalking tarpon, snook and redfish in the backcountry or grouper, snapper and king mackerel in the Gulf, you'll find exciting saltwater angling action year-round," the portal claims.

It says visitors can head to Clam Pass close to Naples, rent a boat and head out to sea, or try kayak fishing, which is becoming an increasingly popular activity.

Freshwater anglers can spend a day at the 1,500-acre Lake Trafford in Immokalee, which is renowned for its crappie and bass.

Those renting Gulf Coast villas in Naples will be in the perfect location to enjoy all the best fishing spots in the region.

Marco Island is just south of the town, while Lake Trafford lies to the east and can be reached by car.

Naples is also ideally situated for a visit to the Everglades, where holiday makers can enjoy an airboat ride through the swamps.
