Rent a Florida villa and soak up the Super Bowl atmosphere

Holiday makers staying in a Florida villa next month will have the chance to witness the US' biggest annual sporting event right from the epicentre of the action.

Super Bowl XLIV, the annual championship game in the American football season, will be coming to the Sunshine State on February 7th 2010 in what is likely to be the nation's most-watched television broadcast of the year.

Although the Miami Dolphins will not be involved, their Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens will host the matchup, which will feature either the Minnesota Vikings or the New Orleans Saints from the NFC.

One of those two teams will be playing either the New York Jets or the Indianapolis Colts from the AFC, with famed British rock band The Who confirmed as half-time entertainment.

Although tickets will likely be extremely hard to come by for the event, those on a Florida holiday can still expect to soak up plenty of atmosphere in Miami and the surrounding area, where football fever is likely to descend.

Last year, the event was held in the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, and saw the AFC's Pittsburgh Steelers narrowly beat the NFC's Arizona Cardinals 27-23.

New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts are the two big form teams this season, although both slipped up towards the end of the regular season and will need to bring their A games if they hope to reach the final.
